This day will be led by Michael Smith, SJ, who is currently the Director of the Mission and Identity Office for the Jesuit Refugee Services and works at their International Office here in Rome. Fr. Michael has an extensive background in science, theology, pastoral counseling, and spirituality. He was the founder and Academic Dean of the Jesuit College of Spirituality in Melbourne, Australia. Conference of Major Superiors of Men: Saturday, April 4, 2020, for the National Religious Brothers Symposium at Boston College (USA)
Bro. Guy J. Consolmagno, SJ, the director of the Vatican Observatory, will keynote the event, discussing “The Prophetic Call of the Brother in the Church.” Invited presenters from around the world will discuss how brothers are living witnesses of the prophetic Gospel call. Small-group sessions in the afternoon will allow for discussion. Cardinal Sean O’Malley, OFM Cap, will celebrate the closing Mass.
