Pope to PIME: Protagonists of the Extraordinary Missionary Month

Pope Francis met with PIME missionaries – gathered in Rome for the General Assembly – and some representatives of the general direction of the Immaculate Missionaries.  The proposal of St. Paul VI’s Evangelii Nuntiandi.  “There is no real evangelization if the name, the teaching, the life, the promises, the Kingdom, the mystery of Jesus of Nazareth, Son of God, are not proclaimed”.  Do not confuse evangelization with proselytism.  The “joy of evangelizing”.

Europe/Romania – With the first group of “small missionaries”, Missionary Childhood is born in Romania

Historic event for the Pontifical Missionary Childhood, which on May 18th will see the first group of Romanian children join the Society. The day of celebration for the inauguration of Missionary Childhood in Romania will open with the celebration of Mass in “Sf. Iosif” Cathedral in Bucharest, presided over by the Archbishop of Bucharest, Mgr. Ioan Robu, during which the children’s adhesion will take place. Continue reading

Jesuits: Renewing the Society of Jesus through discernment and leadership

This is the closing phrase of the video that captures the main events and the atmosphere of last week’s workshop on leadership and discernment organized by the office of Discernment and Apostolic Planning of the General Curia in Rome. From April 1st to the 5th, 55 Jesuits and lay colleagues, experts in leadership, from 23 different countries gathered to discuss, share, learn, reconnect and think how Ignatian leadership and discernment can help the implementation of the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) in the Society of Jesus.
