A Synod Experience with Sister Nathalie Becquart: Chicago, April 30, 2019

Join us for an experience of dialogue and collegiality.

Pope Francis and the world’s Catholic bishops concluded the Synod on Young People, Faith, and Vocational Discernment last fall.  Now, Catholic Theological Union invites young people from the Chicago area to join us for a conversation about the future of the church. Sister Nathalie Becquart, xmcj, one of the women who spoke at the synod in Rome, will share her experiences.  

Stay with us after for a constructive dialogue to develop recommendations to be shared with Pope Francis and our local Archdiocese.

The inspiring text calls on young adults to pursue a life of holiness and to grow in their commitment to their vocation.


Sr. Nathalie Becquart, xmcj is a member of the Ignatian Institute of the Xaviere Sisters and  was the first woman to serve as Director of the National Service for Youth Evangelization and Vocations at the French Bishops’ Conference. Sr. Nathalie was a general coordinator of the pre-Synod, and an observer at the Synod of Bishops on Youth, Faith, and Vocational Discernment in 2018.
